You, the members will decide who will be September’s Guest Creative Team Member at LIC! Wanna know how it will work, sure you do?!

Like Oh my Gosh! Are you just having the grooviest time blog hopping? Well welcome to my blog and I hope you enjoy my challenge.

Cyndi Lauper, who could forget this famous singer from the 80's. The crazy dressing and the great music. And who could forget Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! I LOVE that song.

So here is my challenge to you. Use the She's so Unusal album cover pictured above and pull some sort of inspiration from it. It could be colors, some sort of graphic on the album cover or whatever catches your eye. Then I want you to use some sort of the lyrics on your layout. Incase you forgot here is the lyrics.

Live Imagine Create is proud to be sponsoring a trip to the North Pole to visit Santa’s workshops. North Pole you say in the middle of summer that is too early. But why not think cool to be cool? During the month of July the Live Imagine Create Creative team will be showing you economical projects to help jump start you thinking for the holiday season. Still too early you say, well we have a way to motivate you to get thinking early.

The person that completes the most workshop projects in the month of July will win a prize as well as being our Guest Creative Team member for the month of August. If there is a tie in the number of projects completed then the names of the people will be put into a hat and a winner will be drawn.
So here is all you have to due to be qualified

Where have the past couple of weeks gone? I have been so busy planning for the upcoming crop. Now the crop is in full swing and we have lots of creative artist there creating. Thanks to all that are participating. Well the rain is back for us and we are looking at 7 days of rain. Boy we sure need it.
The card above was made with some yummy Heidi Grace and using my fiskar's heart punch and circle punch. It was a quick card i made for a co worker.

Monday Cleaning

Ok so for some reason today I got a bee in my hat and decided to start cleaning my scraproom. I know it needed to be done. I have lots of people coming to my house to join in the grande opening crop at liveimaginecreate. I am amazed at house much storage I DON"T have..Argh. So i see a trip to the dollar store in my near future. I need to see if they have anything that will work to hold flowers and ribbon and chipboard and and and..LOL

Anyway on a different front we only need 10 more people to add more prizes to the grande opening prize at liveimaginecreate.proboards.com. A Rainy Saturday

And I love it! We so need the rain. I wanted to scrap today but all i am doing is hanging out in my chair playing on scrapbook sites. LOL Good thing Fiskateers is having a crop tomorrow to get me going. I need to get back into the scrapping grove. Hopfully I will have some great new layouts to post tomorrow.

I had made a promise to myself that I would be a better blogger for 2009. Well I am not starting out sooo good. The new scrapbook site is moving along. We have 49 members in the first 2 weeks so I am excited about that. I am in the planning stages of creating an awesome grande opening crop. I want it to be so much fun and get lots of great crafters to share all their talents.

They layout above is my daughter and her boyfriend at prom last year. I find it really hard to scrap those photos that are taken by the photographer. And the sad part is I can't tell you how many more I have just waiting to be put on paper.

What a productive weekend

It was a great weekend. I got some spring cleaning done and still had time to play lots. Went to see Shrek. Not as funny as the first 2 but it was cute. I decided to join an online crop at the last minute and that ended up being a really good thing. It is a new forum just starting out http://www.cropalatte.net/forums I found them on myspace.com They are a great group of people and lots of talent on there. Wish me luck I also applied for their design team. I figure if you don't try you won't know....right? I got 5 layouts done and 2 cards. You should see the mess I have on my kitchen table. It will be fun tonight cleaning it up. NOT! LOL Here is my favorite layout from the weekend. I just got this paper from www.comingupdaisies.com it is the basic grey pheobie....LOVE it. Thanks Jeri for getting it to me sooo fast.

Today was a wonderful happy mail day. I received my AWESOME prize from Friskars for winning the challenge on Cropalatte. I also got a great present from MichelleS for being art student of the month at schoolofscrap. Thanks Michelle I can't wait to play with it all. I also got some new clothes in the mail that I ordered. I tell you it was a happy day!!! I cleaned off my scrap table so I may see what I can do. I want to play with all my new goodies. Another Sunny Day

Another Sunny day in Cali. I guess I can't complain. 78 yesterday! Whoo hoo. At least we are not up into the upper 90s yet. (Knock on wood) But I know it is coming. Not much going on around here. Have a bbq/swim party for the gstroop today. That should be fun. I thought that I would also share this picture of Alyssa and Sam. This was taken at Sam's ROTC awards banquet. Don't they look great? We are so proud of both of them. The both want to enlist next summer after high school.

On the scrapbooking front friskateers.com is having an online crop this weekend I am going to try to check that out. Also, the gdt at scrapncircle.com is still wide open, so you should check that out. So after the party tonight hopefully I will be able to get some stuff done. I need to start organizing all the cards that we are sending to the military hospital. I have set a deadline of July 15th so hopefully they will all start rolling in soon. Thanks again to all the wonderful people who have agreed to help out our gs troop. Well everyone have a wonderful Saturday, I am off to clean house.

My Winning Layout

Here the the picture of the layout I did at the Scrapbook Expo Crop and won 2nd place. I got a great prize pack with Rusty Pickle paper, chipboard, and some alpha stickers. I started with an 11X17 piece of acrylic. I added some basic grey and holy cow rub ons. I also added a chipboard flower and It is a really simple layout and I just love how it turned out. I can't wait to work more with acrylic. I think my next project is going to be a mini album. Now I just have to find a subject!

Ok so this weekend I decided to make an acrylic album for my sister's birthday next weekend. Well to put the holes in the acrylic I decided to try out my fiskar's drill. Ok I have had this drill for 5 months and have not used it. All lI can say is it is AWESOME! It is so easy to use and it went through 5 sheets of acrylic no problem. Also, on accident it got my kitchen table too....My dh just laughed at me. This has to be one of my new favorite tools. Once I get the album all done I will post pictures. I just hope my sister love it.

The weekend before Thanksgiving

It was the weekend before Thanksgiving and all was crazy. Me at home fighting a cold, baking for the upcoming holiday, and wrapping Christmas gifts. LOL Yep that is my life in a nut shell right now. No time for scrappin...and I miss it. I hate it when life gets crazy. I did however find time to make my bestfriend a card for Black Friday. It is tradition for us to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving. Crazy some say....to us it is just girl's time. I got the idea for the card out of an old paper craft magazine. I just love how it turned out.

Ok so yesterday I got out my new cricut expression and the software and decided that I would try to figure it out. Well I had a so much fun and I made these great scrapbook quotes for the walls in my scraproom. I just love how they turned out and I can change them at anytime with no major damage to the wall. Now the next question is what do I cut next???

Can you believe it is the end of January already? Where did the month go? It seems like it was just Christmas. There is so much going on right now with starting the new business and helping dd with her military ball. We are a month away from that and there is still so much to do. We have however started the centerpieces. We made these great candle holders out of wine glasses and vellum. I am very pleased on how they turn out. Now only 1,000 more things to do, PLUS get a dress, and hair, and nails, and and and........LOL
